Adult Studies

We currently offer three adult study groups on Sunday mornings from 10:45 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. We've got something for everyone, and we hope you'll join us!

• Talk Back. You’ve heard this morning’s sermon — now it’s your turn! Come share your insights about the major points of the sermon and how it might impact your life this week. A visit from the preacher of the day plus a devotion time of Scripture reading and prayer are also part of this class. This group meets in the Baker Center, as is facilitated by Charlie Schock.
• Immigration You’ve heard this topic debated everywhere lately. It can stir up both powerful responses and divisive reactions. As followers of Jesus, we seek to open our hearts and our minds and our wills to a meaningful, productive dialogue. We’ll use a United Methodist study guide and other resources. This 5-week study will meet January 18, 25, February 1, 8 & 15, in Fireside Room. Leaders are Pat Wilson & Kent Olson. Check out our Social Justice Ministries page for more information on this class.
• Dig Into the Bible. This small group takes on in-depth Bible study and spends quality time reading and exchanging ideas. The new study for January 2009 is The Letter of James in the New Testament. The group meets in Smart Lounge in the sanctuary building. Facilitator is Diana Young.
