Visitors Vacation Bible School
VBS FOR EVERYONE !
We have something for everyone this summer at Vacation Bible School 2013 at Tempe First. Offering activities for all ages, this special session is set for Sunday, June 23, through Thursday, June 27. Supper will be served at 5:30 p.m. with program from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This year’s theme, Everywhere Fun Fair: Where God’s World Comes Together, highlights ways to love, serve God and be a neighbor to the world. We’ll be learning about five Bible stories centered on friendship: Abraham and Sarah welcome visitors, a generous widow, the parable of the Good Samaritan, Jesus and Zacchaeus and God welcomes everyone. We’ll also learn about five very different countries and cultures: Japan, Zimbabwe, the United Kingdom, Australia and Mexico.
Food, traditions, geography and languages from these places will be shared. Our mini film festival for the adult group will be presented again this year with five interesting films that reflect our five VBS countries. Many volunteers are needed for these five fabulous nights of fun and faith.
